About Seaview Farm Boarding Stables
Seaview
Farm was established in 1838. Seven generations of Lanes have been
involved with the farm that originated as a dairy farm. Seaview Farm
became a boarding stable in the 1970s when Charles L. Lane, Sr. decided
to leave the dairy industry and change the barns and business to
accommodate horses. The seventh generation in the Lane family to work the
farm is now represented by Kenneth Charles Lane, grandson of Charles
Lane, Sr. who died recently at the age of 101 years.
Tradition and legacy have been handed down to Ken who has begun to
manage the stables and bring his experience in business and in the
agricultural field to Seaview Farm. Updating of the outdoor ring and
barns are in progress.

The beautiful small town of Rockport, MA provides a lovely larger
setting for the farm itself, with its riding trails on the property and
in close proximity, pasture and/or paddock opportunities, large box
stalls, an outdoor ring, parking area, storage for trailers, horse
transport, certified riding instructors, and more. Above all, sensitivity
to the care and needs of your horses remain top priority.
Seaview Farm provides hay for its boarders. Grain and shavings are
provided by the boarders themselves. A dedicated, experienced barn
manager feeds the horses and accommodates requests for any special
feeding programs.
